Porto della Maremma, in Marina di Grosseto
Porto della Maremma, also known as Marina di San Rocco, lies at Marina di Grosseto, about ten kilometres from the provincial capital, between the islands of Elba and Giglio. It welcomes boats up to 24 metres, with depths of 2 to 3 metres, and has been awarded the Blue Flag.
The resort began in 1720 as the San Rocco military outpost, whose fort still stands, while the first small harbour dates from the 1920s. Cycle paths link the marina to the Maremma Park, and the Diaccia Botrona nature reserve and the WWF San Felice oasis are close by. Berths and services are on the Porto della Maremma website.
Marina services and surroundings
- boatyard inside the port, with haul-out service
- berths for visiting boats and for catamarans
- electricity, water and Wi-Fi
- bar and supermarket among the port's services
